The Youth with Disabilities Forum has launched the implementation of the project “Inclusive Procedures and Practices: Developing an Inclusive Work Environment for Persons with Disabilities”, aimed at improving working conditions and employment opportunities for persons with disabilities through the development and implementation of inclusive procedures and practices in workplaces. This initiative is supported through the ACT Project, funded by the Swiss Government.
The initiative focuses on creating conditions for the equal participation of persons with disabilities in the labor market by strengthening knowledge, policies, and mechanisms that contribute to greater inclusion and workplace accessibility. Particular attention will be given to identifying barriers that persons with disabilities face during recruitment processes and in the workplace, as well as to developing solutions that foster an inclusive organizational culture.
Through the planned activities, the Youth with Disabilities Forum will work to promote the principles of equal opportunities, raise awareness of the importance of inclusive work environments, and strengthen cooperation with employers.
“An inclusive work environment enables every person to reach their full potential and contribute to the community in line with their knowledge and skills. Through this initiative, we aim to support the creation of sustainable and accessible workplaces that value diversity and promote equality,” said the Youth with Disabilities Forum team.
About the ACT Project
“Together for an Active Civil Society – ACT” is a Swiss Government project that aims to foster an active civil society in which citizens participate more actively in decision-making processes, particularly at the local level. The project is implemented by two non-governmental organizations: Helvetas Serbia and Civic Initiatives.
The second phase of the ACT Project focuses on supporting organizations to:
- Expand their support base;
- Advocate more effectively for public policies;
- Diversify their funding sources.
ACT-2 is being implemented from 1 November 2023 to 31 October 2027.
