At the meeting of the Council for Socially Responsible Business, held on October 28, 2024, at the premises of Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Serbia , current calls for applications were presented for the project “Job Fit; Economic Empowerment of People with Disabilities.”
Tanja Radović Krstić, representing the Youth with Disabilities Forum, spoke about the open call for employers to participate in the Internship Program for Young People with Disabilities. Attendees were informed that the call is open to employers in the regions of Belgrade, Novi Sad, Niš, Zrenjanin, Subotica, and Valjevo, and that the deadline for applications is November 7. The phases of program implementation were outlined, along with a reflection on experiences from previous program cycles.
Ivana Stančić, representing Smart Kolektiv and the Forum for Responsible Business, discussed the competition for the Most Inclusive Employer. She informed attendees that starting this year, the award will be given in two categories—most inclusive employer for people with disabilities and most inclusive employer of the year. Applications from large enterprises and applications from small and medium-sized enterprises will be considered separately.
The Internship Program for Young People with Disabilities and the award for the “Most Inclusive Employer” are being implemented as part of the project “Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of People with Disabilities.” This initiative is conducted by the Youth with Disabilities Forum in collaboration with the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Smart Kolektiv, Caritas Serbia, and the Center for Independent Living of People with Disabilities, with support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
