The Youth with Disabilities Forum has been selected as a member of the Monitoring Committee for the Multi-Year Operational Programme for Employment, Skills, and Social Inclusion for the period 2024–2027. The selection was made through a public call, confirming the Forum’s expertise and commitment in the field of inclusive policies and employment of persons with disabilities.
The Operational Programme, presented at the first Committee meeting held on October 3rd at the “Serbia” Palace, serves as a strategic framework for improving employment, skills development, and social inclusion in Serbia.
Key objectives of the programme include:
- Supporting youth employment through active labour market policies and the development of career services.
- Equipping educational institutions and improving the quality of education through infrastructure modernization and curriculum development.
- Social inclusion of vulnerable groups through housing solutions, deinstitutionalization, and development of integrated services at both local and national levels.
- Implementation of the Youth Guarantee.
The Monitoring Committee was established as a multisectoral body bringing together key stakeholders from various fields, with the aim of ensuring transparent and efficient implementation of the programme, valued at €126 million—€100 million provided by the European Union and the remainder funded by the Republic of Serbia.
Committee members include:
- Representatives of the Ministry of Labour, Employment, Veteran and Social Affairs, which coordinates the programme implementation.
- Representatives of the European Commission and the EU Delegation to Serbia, as donors and strategic partners.
- Institutions within the management and control system, including financial monitoring and audit bodies.
- Provincial, regional, and local authorities involved in on-the-ground implementation of measures.
- Economic and social partners, including employer and trade union representatives.
- Universities and research organizations contributing to data-driven policy development.
- Civil society organizations.
This diverse composition of the Committee enables the inclusion of various perspectives and expertise in the process of programme monitoring and evaluation.
