As part of the regular FMI Career Center Program in Belgrade, FMI Talks were held on the topics “Job Interview Preparation – What Employers Value When Hiring” and “(Auto)Stigma in the Workplace”. These events brought together numerous participants who, through constructive discussion, had the opportunity to learn about the challenges and strategies for overcoming barriers in their professional lives.
The first topic, “Job Interview Preparation – What Employers Value When Hiring”, provided participants with practical advice and techniques for successfully presenting themselves to potential employers. Through simulations and concrete examples, attendees were prepared for job interviews, with an emphasis on how to highlight their skills, abilities, and experience, regardless of any challenges they may face.
The second topic, “(Auto)Stigma in the Workplace”, was held via Zoom and focused on identifying and overcoming the biases that people with disabilities may encounter in the workplace. Through interactive discussions, participants exchanged experiences and strategies for creating more inclusive work environments that enable all employees to reach their full potential.
FMI Talks represent another step toward increasing professional opportunities and empowering people with disabilities, in order to enhance their skills in the job search process.
