Digital and Media Abilities for Youth with Disabilities

Project goal: To improve civic engagement of youth with disabilities by development of digital and media literacy skills.

Activities:

1. Survey on digital literacy of youth with disabilities conducted with representative sample in Serbia;
2. Organizing 5 round tables in 5 cities on opportunities for civic engagement of youth with disabilities;
3. Education for Young Disability Leaders
4. 2 Trainings for youth with disabilities on digital and media literacy;
5. 3 Trainings for representatives of Youth CSOs and Local Youth Offices on mechanisms for involvement of youth with disabilities as activists and development of guide for active and equal engagement of youth with disabilities;
6. Sub granting of 5 Youth CSOs in order to include youth with disabilities, solving local challenges;
7. Development of Online platform in order to improve resources for youth with disabilities on digital and media literacy;
8. Training for media representatives about social model on disability and concept of social inclusion in media reporting;
9. Organizing final conference in order to share project results to relevant stakeholders;
10. Development and distribution of visibility materials including creation of video about results and most significant change achieved through project activities.
