On December 11, 2023, the Youth with Disabilities Forum launched an initiative to conduct online personal development workshops, extending opportunities for personal and professional growth to individuals with disabilities residing outside of Belgrade.
These workshops, structured into three modules, aim to empower participants in various aspects:
- Self-image: Covers emotional and stress management, attitudes, prejudices, and conflict resolution.
- Communication skills: Focuses on verbal, non-verbal, and assertive communication, as well as active listening.
- Business skills: Includes topics such as teamwork, CV writing, job application procedures, and job interview simulations.
Facilitated through interactive sessions, these workshops enable participants to delve into self-development, exchange insights, and acquire skills essential for attaining both personal and professional objectives. Emphasis will be placed on motivation, defining professional and personal goals, and strategies for overcoming challenges in the labor market and during the job search process.
These workshops are organized as part of the Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities project, in collaboration with the United States Agency for International Development (USAID). The project’s partners include Caritas of Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Smart Kolektiv, and the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities.
