The Youth with Disabilities Forum (YDF) conducted a training session for employees of the Wurth company as part of our ongoing support for employers within the Network of Employers for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities.
Wurth has been a pioneering member of the network since 2021, demonstrating their steadfast commitment to employing individuals with disabilities and fostering a collaborative relationship with YDF.
The training session, held on May 14, 2024, specifically targeted HR professionals. Attendees had the opportunity to expand their understanding of several key areas, including the legislative framework surrounding disability rights, different types of disabilities, effective communication strategies with individuals with disabilities, and methods for implementing workplace adjustments to accommodate diverse needs.
We were delighted to engage with enthusiastic and proactive participants from Wurth’s HR department. Their eagerness to learn, ask questions, and share experiences created a dynamic and productive learning environment, reflecting their genuine commitment to inclusivity and diversity in the workplace.
The training session was held within the project “Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities”, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by the Youth with Disabilities Forum. Other partners in the project are Caritas of Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, the Smart Kolektiv and the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities of Serbia.
