During May and June in Career centers were held workshops on topic Supportive measures of employment persons with disabilities in cooperation with National Employment Service.
Workshops were held in 6 cities: Belgrade, Novi Sad, Nis, Kragujevac, Subotica and Zrenjanin.
NES counsellors provided information about measures, abetment, procedures and available financial incentives for employment persons with disabilities. Participants had opportunity to acquaint with legislation, duties of employers and ways to get subsidies for employment or self-employment. The importance of inclusive employment and the creation of working environments that provide equal opportunities for all employees were discussed.
These activities were carried out as part of the project “Tailored work: Economic empowerment of persons with disabilities”, financed by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by the Forum of Youth with Disabilities. Other partners in the project are Caritas Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, the Smart Collective and the Center for Independent Living for People with Disabilities in Serbia.
