Building a quality relationship with associates yields enduring benefits.
In March of this year, Grundfos, after years of fruitful collaboration with the Forum of Young People with Disabilities, joined the Network of Employers for the Employment of Persons with Disabilities.
Through this network, we extend vital support to member companies via counseling, consultations, and tailored employee training, promptly initiating these efforts by hosting our inaugural workshop for new members.
Dubbed “Language without Barriers,” the workshop convened on May 21 at Grundfos’ premises, focusing on enhancing communication within Grundfos’ communication and marketing team.
The workshop analyzed the language used in the media when reporting on people with disabilities, with an emphasis on examples of good practice and pointing out inadequate wording that is often used. Photos and illustrations accompanying the texts were analyzed, and special attention was paid to the topic of accessible communication.
We extend our heartfelt appreciation to the communication and marketing team at Grundfos for their enthusiastic engagement and genuine interest in the subject, eagerly anticipating future collaborations.
The training session was held within the project “Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities”, funded by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID), and implemented by the Youth with Disabilities Forum. Other partners in the project are Caritas of Serbia, the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, the Smart Kolektiv and the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities of Serbia.
