The Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities project is financed by
the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and implemented by the Youth with Disabilities Forum. Other project partners include Caritas Serbia, Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Smart Kolektiv and Center for Independent Living Serbia.
The main activities of the four-year project ,,The Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities“ are:
1) Improving the empoyability of persons with disabilities through psychosocial support, career guidance, work practice and traning for the labor market;
2) Encouraging entrepreneurship among persons with disabilities so that they have access to capital, markets, technical assistance and networks on an equal basis with others, and
3) Promoting the environment that is suitable for inclusive economic development for persons with disabilities: cooperation with employers, improvement of national and local policies and support of the general public.
The activities will be implemented on a national level with, and focused on Belgrade, Subotica, Novi Sad, Zrenjanin, Valjevo and Niš.
