The first cycle of personal development workshops was completed at the Career Center in Valjevo

Twenty inspiring workshops, three modules, one goal – improvement of personal and business skills. Through modules: self-image, communication skills and business skills, users gained new knowledge and expanded existing knowledge. They were satisfied with the flexibility in organizing and holding workshops. As for the topics, they expressed the most interest in labor markets, as well as writing CVs and motivational letters. At the end of the cycle, we proudly awarded them certificates for successfully mastered skills.

This type of service is very productive and important for users because it provides them with additional support and the opportunity to strengthen their strengths and capacities. Through regular personal development workshops, users are able to recognize their potential and develop skills that help them deal with challenges more effectively. Also, this approach allows them to see their disability not as the biggest obstacle, but as a part of their uniqueness that they can use as a resource in achieving their goals.

User statements:

My name is Matea and I have a problem with fine motor skills. I used to come to workshops for people with disabilities. I would call it workshops of empowerment, strengthening self-confidence, getting to know the real image of yourself. At those workshops, I learned how to write a CV, a motivation letter, we practiced interviewing for a job, etc.

I am grateful to them from the bottom of my heart because I learned a lot, and what I already knew a long time ago I remembered and expanded.

I gained more self-confidence, courage. Thank you for the opportunity that I could be a part of such a beautiful project. I wouldn’t change anything. Thank you.

I am a consultant in the employment of persons with disabilities at the Career Center in Valjevo, where we work on the project “Tailored work: Economic empowerment of persons with disabilities”.

I consider the work I do and my role in it very important. I love working with people and I believe in the importance of supporting them in their professional growth. Through this project, I have the opportunity to help users find their way to employment, which gives me pleasure. The experience of working with vulnerable groups made me aware of my mission to try to improve their lives as much as possible through empowerment.

I look forward to every small and big success of our users because I know how important it is for them, for us as a team and for the local community as a whole.

If you want to be part of the next cycle of workshops, register by March 11.
