On December 5, the Youth with Disabilities Forum hosted representatives of the Employers’ Network in its premises, and on that occasion the services of the Career Center were presented and the International Day of Persons with Disabilities was marked.

The importance of cooperation between the YDF and employers in creating an inclusive working environment and improving the employability of persons with disabilities, through the provision of training and education that contribute to the reduction of prejudices and stereotypes, ways to adapt workplaces and employment processes, in order to respond to the different needs of persons with disabilities, is particularly highlighted. Previous partnerships have enabled a better understanding of the needs and specificities of people with disabilities and have opened the way to inclusive employment practices.

The Network of Employers for Employment of Persons with Disabilities was founded in 2021 and gathers companies that recognize the importance of employment of persons with disabilities, implement active employment policies and directly influence the improvement of the position of persons with disabilities in Serbia. At the moment, the Network of Employers for Employment of Persons with Disabilities consists of 20 companies.

YDF will continue to contribute to inclusive employment through cooperation with employers within the Network of Employers.
