English Language Training Program Has Started

With great interest and strong motivation from the selected participants, the Youth with Disabilities Forum has launched a new cycle of English language training.

The training is implemented with the support of the Secretariat for Social Protection, as part of a long‑standing program that FMI has been conducting continuously for 17 years — the “Employment Program for Persons with Disabilities in the Open Labor Market.” Thanks to years of support and a strong partnership, it has been possible to design activities that directly improve the employability of persons with disabilities.

After the application deadline, 16 participants were selected. Following an initial placement test conducted by the Robertson School, participants were assigned to two groups based on their level of knowledge.

The training officially began on January 21, with classes held twice a week, focusing on developing practical conversational skills.

Today, English language proficiency is one of the key skills when applying for a job — especially in companies that operate on the international market or maintain internal communication in English. The program is designed to provide participants with real, applicable knowledge they can use immediately. Through this course, participants will strengthen their confidence in spoken communication and increase their competitiveness in the job market.

The Youth with Disabilities Forum continues, through its long‑term programs, to empower persons with disabilities and support them in gaining skills that contribute to professional and personal development.
