In collaboration with Caritas Serbia, the Youth with Disabilities Forum successfully launched the second out of four training modules tailored for counselors aiding individuals with disabilities in their employment journey.
Conducted in Sremska Kamenica from May 29 to June 1, 2023, this module marked a significant step forward.
The training, attended by 13 participants, also welcomed representatives from the National Employment Service, Caritas Serbia, and the project team of the YDF. Upon completion, counselors will play a pivotal role in supporting individuals with disabilities throughout their job search process, empowering them to recognize their capabilities, set professional goals, pursue additional training, and enhance their social and soft skills.
Commencing on August 1, 2023, the employment support service for people with disabilities will be accessible in six cities across Serbia. While the Youth with Disabilities Forum in Belgrade will serve as the hub, Caritas premises in Novi Sad, Subotica, Zrenjanin, Valjevo, and Niš will also offer the service. Ensuring personalized and continuous assistance, the service will be available on all working days, fostering the holistic empowerment of individuals with disabilities for the labor market.
This initiative is conducted in partnership with the PaMark Vocational Rehabilitation Institution from Podgorica, as part of the “Job Fit: Economic Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities” project. Supported by the American Agency for International Development (USAID), the project sees collaboration from esteemed partners including the Ana and Vlade Divac Foundation, Caritas Serbia, Smart Kolektiv, and the Center for Independent Living of Persons with Disabilities of Serbia.
